Pro Sand

A veterinary grade complementary feed for horses and ponies where sand burden is suspected within the digestive tract.

Suitable for

• Horses grazing on sandy soil
• Where turnout is on synthetic surfaces
• Where turnout is on bare paddocks
• Where there is a risk of sand ingestion

Can be used long or short term

Psyllium husk contains around 70% soluble fibre, and is known to absorb water rapidly (increasing in size by tenfold) and forming a gelatinous compound containing glycosides and mucilages it passes through the digestive tract, nutrient uptake may be impeded when sand is present within the digestive track, the unique combination of ingredients enable the sand to be passed safely through the gastrointestinal tract and excreted.

Recommended feeding

Horse and pony: in case of suspected sand ingestion add 75g (3 scoops) for 28 days

Maintenance: 50g per day for one week in each month

Ingredients: Micronised linseed meal, Psyllium powder, magnesium.
